A Jin Shin Jyutsu session generally lasts about an hour with the client lying comfortably and fully clothed, on his or her back on a padded table. Each session is customized and based on pulse listening, body reading, and client requests.
The practitioner “listens” to the energy pulses in the wrist which highlight the area of the body that needs harmonizing. The practitioner gently places their fingertips or hands along specific locations (known as “safety energy locks” or SEL’s) in particular sequences on the body. This stimulates the circulation of the energy pathways which helps to clear accumulated tension and stress. Release of tension and stress helps the body to regain harmony and vitality and assists the body’s innate healing capabilities.
Nancy brings to each treatment sensitive hands, compassion, intuition and her in-depth Jin Shin Jyutsu education to create a fulfilling session for each client. Because Jin Shin Jyutsu is gentle and non-invasive, one can feel at ease and be receptive to the benefits that the energy offers. The effects from treatments are as varied as each individual, although deep relaxation, a feeling of well-being, emotional balance, and relief from stress, discomfort, anxiety and pain are common.
Jin Shin Jyutsu treatments do not involve massage, pressure, manipulation of muscles, or use of drugs or substances. Treatments are appropriate for children and babies, the elderly, and frail individuals.
Self-help techniques may be given at the end of the session to continue the body’s healing process.
